Jorge who is the namesake and inspiration of our organization had his hands and feet amputated when he was 14 months old due to a life threatening circulation infection. Proceeds from the Beefsteak have provided Jorge with new prosthetics and other quality of life aides. As Jorge continues to grow, he needs to be fitted with new prosthetics each year.

NEW PROSTETIC LEGS FOR JORGE
This past June, Jorge’s new legs were completed. These legs were paid for by funds raised through our recent Beefsteak and other generous contributions. Thank you!

Jorge also went to Panama this summer and spent two months with his family. He returned to New Jersey at the end of August.

JORGE PLAYS SOCCER FOR THE “PINES”
Jorge played soccer for the “Pines”, a North Haledon team made up of 5th and 6th grade boys. The boys really got along great and played very well together. Their record was 10 wins and 1 loss. Jorge plays defense and loves being part of the team and spending time with his team mates. The season ended with a pizza party and each player receiving a trophy!
